Kenneth James Hendrickson, born September 2, 1943, to Clarence and Betty Hendrickson, passed away peacefully at his home on January 12, 2025.
Kenneth lived a life defined by service, dedication, and love for his family. He proudly served 21 years as an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officer, committing his career to protecting and serving his community. He was also a member of “The Voice of Our Nation’s Law Enforcement,” reflecting his strong support for law enforcement and the values he upheld throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Hendrickson.
Kenneth is survived by his beloved daughter, Sherrie Lynn McKee (Jeff McKee); his cherished granddaughters, Amber Keck (Randy Keck) and Kayla Currie (Douglas Currie); and his treasured great-grandchildren, Joshua Hornaday, Myla Pillow, and Qynci Keck. His family was his greatest pride, and his legacy lives on through them.
Kenneth will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and unwavering sense of duty—both as a law enforcement officer and as a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Celebration Of Life will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at FOP Lodge 86 1525 Shelby Street, Indianapolis,, IN 46203 317/637-1195.
